8. Rights of the Data Subject

The applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive rights as a data subject with respect to the processing of your personal data by the controller (rights of access and intervention). We inform you of these rights as follows:

  • Right of Access (Article 15 GDPR):
You have the right to request information about your personal data processed by us, the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned retention period or criteria for determining the retention period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, the existence of automated decision-making including profiling, and, if applicable, meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and envisaged consequences of such processing for you. You also have the right to be informed of the safeguards pursuant to Article 46 GDPR when your data is transferred to third countries.

  • Right to Rectification (Article 16 GDPR):
You have the right to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate data concerning you and/or the completion of your incomplete data stored with us.

  • Right to Erasure (Article 17 GDPR):
You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data under the conditions set out in Article 17(1) GDPR. This right does not apply if processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, fulfilling a legal obligation, reasons of public interest, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

  • Right to Restriction of Processing (Article 18 GDPR):
You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data if:

    • You contest the accuracy of your data while we verify its accuracy.

    • You refuse the deletion of your data due to unlawful processing and instead request the restriction of its use.

    • You need the data for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, even though we no longer require it for processing.

    • You have objected to processing for reasons related to your particular situation, pending verification of whether our legitimate grounds override yours.

  • Right to Notification (Article 19 GDPR):
If you have exercised your right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, the controller is obligated to notify all recipients to whom your personal data was disclosed of these changes unless it proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients.

  • Right to Data Portability (Article 20 GDPR):
You have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or to request the transfer to another controller, where technically feasible.

  • Right to Withdraw Consent (Article 7(3) GDPR):
You have the right to withdraw any consent given for the processing of data at any time with future effect. Upon withdrawal, we will delete the affected data unless further processing can be based on a legal basis for processing without consent. Withdrawal does not affect the legality of processing based on consent before the withdrawal.

  • Right to Lodge a Complaint (Article 77 GDPR):
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of your residence, workplace, or where the alleged violation occurred, without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

9. Right to Object
If we process your personal data based on our overriding legitimate interest in a balancing of interests, you have the right to object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation, with future effect. If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing the affected data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for such purposes at any time. You can exercise your objection as described above. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will stop processing your data for such purposes.

10. Duration of Personal Data Storage
The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the respective statutory retention period (e.g., commercial and tax retention periods). After the expiration of the period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, provided it is no longer required for contract fulfillment or initiation and/or there is no legitimate interest on our part in continuing to store it.

11. Children’s Privacy
Our service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child(ren) has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us by email with details. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 18 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
